Certain artificial and natural fabrics can irritate hypersensitive skin. My skin cannot tolerate even brief exposure to even the highest quality wool. Also, polyester sometimes feels soft upon first contact, but will irritate my skin with all day use. 100% cotton is the most widely available recommended fabric, but I actually prefer 100% bamboo! It is a much softer fabric, much more durable AND sustainable. Also, it’s more breathable and odor resistant than cotton which is great in the summer and for layering in the winter (especially when you need a buffer layer between your body and a less-friendly fabric).
