I went “raw” for two years in my early 20’s. I was absolutely broke and could not afford all of my prescriptions for allergies, asthma and eczema. So, I decided to try just eating uncooked, unprocessed vegetables, fruits and nuts.
Eating only foods that were this clean and unprocessed also afforded me the perfect scientific baseline to conduct personal experiments by re-introducing just one food item at a time to see how that specific item affected me. Then I’d take it away again completely and re-introduce something else.
That said, it was absolutely a 2-year lifestyle COMMITMENT and took an amount of free time that I truly only dream of having these days.
