My eczema (atopic dermatitis) has been so severe that I’ve been prescribed both Cyclosporine and Dupixent (at different times). Cyclosporine is a pill that suppresses the immune system. The drug’s main use is for organ-transplant patients to help ensure that the recipient’s body does not reject the donor organ.1

Dupixent is an injectable (shot) meant to target atopic dermatitis more specifically.2

For more on prescription treatments, please see this WebMD article.

I plan to write a blog post eventually. In the meantime, spoiler alert: I would not enter into either treatment lightly and, personally, did not find the side-effects worth it.
